<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge-type opening/closing container which can be placed on a loading surface while a lid body is opened. <P>SOLUTION: A compact 10 has a mirror 13m on the inner side of the lid body 13, the container body 12 has an axis X in the middle between an open side end part 12e(f) when the lid body 13 is opened and a hinge part side end part 12e(b) having a hinge part 14, i.e., at the position in which the distance L<SB>1</SB>from the open side end part 12e(f) to the axis X is equal to the distance L<SB>2</SB>from the axis X to the hinge part side end part 12e(b).
