摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fine metal particles with a mean particle size of 1-10 μm having a narrow particle distribution and hard to flocculate by an atomizing method. SOLUTION: Fine metal particles obtained by the atomizing method are classified using a precise sieve. The precise sieve used in classification has a thickness of 10-100 μm and the sieve perforations of the precise sieve are formed in a predetermined arrangement so that the opening ratio of them becomes 20-80%. The size of the sieve perforations is 1-10 μm as a diameter in such a case that the plane shape of the sieve perforations is circular and the standard deviation of a pore size distribution is 25% or less of a pore size. Further, when the aspect ratio of each of the perforations defined by the ratio of the depth of perforations to the pore size is not less than 1.5 and the plane shape of each of the sieve perforations is polygonal, the shortest side thereof is 1-10 μm and the standard deviation of a shortest side distribution is 25% or less of the mean value of the shortest sides and the ratio of the depth of each perforation to the length of the shortest side in the projection surface of each perforation is not less than 1.5.
