PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color shampoo composition which does not dye the hand and the skin and has an excellent dyeing effect for the hair, good foamability and good cleansability. SOLUTION: This color shampoo composition comprises (A) a basic dye, (B) an amphoteric surfactant, and (C) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of cationic surfactants and cationic polymers, and has pH 4.0 to 8.0.
