PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight of an industrial vehicle with excellent assembly and maintenance properties of a controller and the wiring for making the body compact. SOLUTION: In the counterweight of the industrial vehicle, the controller is stored in a storage hole opened toward the rear. The counterweight has an opening forming part 14 on the side wall part of the storage hole 11 so that the opening area of the plane orthogonal to the axial line of the storage hole 11 in the front/rear direction of the vehicle expands from the front to the rear of the vehicle, and the wiring 5 for the controller 3 is laid out in the opening forming part 14. The opening forming part 33 may be formed with a forming member 34 attached to the storage hole 11c, and an auxiliary weight 20 may be detachably attached to the storage hole 11 on the side where the wire 5 is not laid out.
