发明名称 DRIVING METHOD FOR PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT, INKJET HEAD AND INKJET PRINTER
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a driving voltage, a heating value and power consumption in driving piezoelectric elements used in an inkjet printer or the like. SOLUTION: A rise time Tr or a fall time Tf of the driving voltage is made not smaller than 1/20 a natural oscillation period of the inkjet head, whereby the driving voltage, heating value and power consumption which increase by a loss because of resistance components of a charging/discharging system of wiring lines, switching elements and the like in consequence of a large current flowing if the rise or fall is steep are suppressed. The time Tr/the time Tf is made not larger than 1/3 the natural oscillation period, whereby an oscillation energy efficiency of piezoelectric elements which becomes higher as a voltage waveform rises or falls more steeply can be 80% or higher. The time Tr/the time Tf is made approximately 1/20 the natural oscillation period Ti, whereby a discharge energy by piezoelectric elements is nearly saturated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
