A nut 4 for co-operation with a screw 5 is anchored to a base 1 by a nail 2 which engages one end of a coupling piece 3 supporting the nut at its other end. The coupling piece 3 to which the nut is attached by soldering or by a press-fit may be provided with limbs 3a which are bent-over at their free ends to engage in a circular groove 2a in the nail 2 or in apertures (13a), (Fig. 2, not shown) of a cup-shaped member (13) to which the nail is attached.
