<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables efficient manufacturing of a honeycomb surface forming die for molding regular minute projections of a honeycomb shape. <P>SOLUTION: On the surface of a base material 4, a film 2 is installed which is composed of a material eliminated with a laser beam. Then, this film is irradiated with a laser beam at a part pertinent to the grid intersection which is situated on a line drawn in a manner bisecting the cross angle of the grid intersections, among the lines connecting the grid intersections formed by the crossing of two groups of each uniformly spaced parallel line group. In this case, the laser beam is successively emitted to such pertinent part as the center of the irradiation, with a beam diameter not less than 1/1.5 of the distance between grid lines, eliminating the part of the film and forming minute honeycomb recesses 3 on the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
