<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst composition containing an aluminoxane for the dimerization, codimerization, and oligomerization of an olefin. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst composition applicable to the dimerization, codimerization, and oligomerization of the olefin is produced by dissolving a nickel compound mixed or complexed optionally with a ligand in a medium produced from a mixture of at least one quaternary ammonium halide and/or at least one quaternary phosphonium halide, at least one aluminum halide, and at least one aluminoxane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
