<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive cloth capable of uniformly dispersing abrasive grains which can be used especially for an abrasive tape for processing the texture of a magnetic recording disk substrate and obtains a polishing precision of Ra value 10 angstrom or less, moreover less than 3 angstrom, controls the creation of deep scratch, and has satisfying properties in polishing speed and durability. <P>SOLUTION: This abrasive cloth is cloth used for surface polishing using polishing abrasive grains. Synthetic fiber having a continuous stripe groove capable of retaining polishing abrasive grains on a fiber surface along a fiber axial direction is used for at least either of warp and weft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
