<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic which can be produced at a relatively low temperature at which evaporation of PbO is avoided and is capable of being produced with a reduced production cost, and which has a high electromechanical coupling factor Kp and a high Curie temperature Tc. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic contains at least one selected from the group comprising (a) perovskite-type PbZrO<SB>3</SB>, (b) perovskite-type PbTiO<SB>3</SB>, (c) complex perovskite-type Pb(Nb<SB>1/2</SB>Sb<SB>1/2</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, (d) manganese oxide, and (e) complex perovskite-type Pb(CuαW<SB>1/2</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, Ba(CuβW<SB>1/2</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, and Pb(ZnγW<SB>1/2</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, (wherein, α, β and γ are each a numerical value satisfying following conditions: 0.5<α≤1.50, 0.5<β≤1.50, and 0.5<γ≤1.50). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
