PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film-laminated metal plate for a container having moldability, adhesive properties, impact resistance, corrosion resistance after content filling and retort sterilizing treatments and good taste characteristics required for working the container. SOLUTION: The film-laminated metal plate for the container comprises a polyester resin film having two layers of an upper layer of a biaxially stretched polyester resin film having a melting point of 240 to 300°C, a carboxyl end group of 10 to 50 equivalent/ton and not substantially containing an isophthalic acid ingredient as an acid ingredient and a thickness of 10 to 30μm of a resin film and a lower layer of a polyester resin film having an ethylene terephthalate unit of 75 to 95% of an ester repeating unit and a thickness of 2 to less than 5μm, laminated on a surface of the metal plate.
