METHOD FOR PRODUCING (METH)ACRYLIC ACID ESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a (meth)acrylic acid ester without causing the troubles such as the clogging of a separation column by the deposition of polymers or sludge in the tray of the separation column or a packed column in a step to separate a low-boiling component and the clogging of an apparatus by the deposition of foreign materials in a heater and enabling a stable operation over a long period. SOLUTION: The method for producing the (meth)acrylic acid ester contains a step to react (meth)acrylic acid with an alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst, wash and/or neutralize the reaction mixture containing the (meth) acrylic acid ester and separate an organic layer containing the (meth)acrylic acid ester from a water layer formed by the washing and/or neutralizing treatment. In the method, a part of the reaction mixture containing the organic layer and the water layer is extracted with the system. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
