PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromotive injection molding machine excellent in the reproducibility of the position of a nozzle and capable of bringing a leading end of the nozzle into contact with an injection port of a mold. SOLUTION: This injection molding machine 10 is equipped with a side injection unit 13 having the nozzle 100 connected to the injection port provided to the side surface of the mold, electricmotors 85 and 94 using geared motors for moving the side injection unit 13 in the longitudinal and lateral directions of a molding machine frame 11, a position sensor 86 for outputting the signal related to the position of the side injection unit 13, and a controller for inputting the signal of the position sensor 86 to electrically control the operation of the electricmotors 85 and 94. The nozzle 100 is brought into contact with the injection port provided to the side surface of the mold by proper force using the elastic force of a spring 99 provided to a drive mechanism 91 using a ball screw for moving a Y-axis movable table 90.
