PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blasting machine and an air blasting method capable of forming a pressure tank compact to save the energy of compressed air and an installation space, eliminating the occurrence of troubles in a supply valve and a cut-off valve to facilitate periodic maintenance, and being easily extended or reduced as necessary. SOLUTION: One blasting nozzle is attached to one pressure tank, and the inner volume of the pressure tank is set to a small value corresponding to the volume of a blasting material necessary for blasting a single workpiece. For the supply valve, a drive method with an exterior drive source is employed, thereby the cut-off valve is not necessary at a blasting material mixing part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
