PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste sorting apparatus having an intermediate sorter arranged between a wind sorter and a downstream side sorter for collecting incombustibles such as sand having large specific gravity and small particle size so that a pipeline connecting the intermediate sorter to the downstream side sorter and the downstream side sorter can be prevented from being worn. SOLUTION: The intermediate sorter 13 for collecting a solid contained in the air sucked from the wind sorter 11 for performing sorting work by using wind power and a specific gravity difference is arranged between the sorter 11 and the downstream side sorter 12 arranged on the downstream side of the sorter 11. The sorter 13 is constituted so that space is provided inside a collecting tank 36 for settling the solid in the air sucked from the sorter 11 and the top end of a suction pipe 42 connecting to the sorter 11 is connected to the space.
