FIELD: erection of redesigned hydraulic turbine having old embedded parts. SUBSTANCE: method includes installation of intermediate flange on bottom belt or shroud ring of stay ring, flange being mounted together with bottom ring bolted thereto. Then bottom ring is aligned by displacing it together with intermediate flange over bottom belt of stay ring, intermediate flange is secured to bottom belt of stay ring by spot welding, and bottom ring is removed from turbine. After that flange is finally secured on stay ring by welding it to bottom belt of the latter. Then bottom ring is installed into intermediate flange and aligned in addition within clearance in their bolted joint. Upon final installation of bottom ring the latter is bolted to intermediate flange to form mentioned bolted joint. Method does not require fixation of fastening members on stay ring nor does it need alignment between actual and desired disposition of these members on bottom belt of stay ring.
