BAR CODE READING SYSTEM USING TWO-DIMENSIONAL CMOS PHOTOGRAPHING ELEMENT

PURPOSE: A bar code reading system using a two-dimensional CMOS(Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) photographing element is provided to read a bar code through a bar code video processing algorithm using a photographed video image. CONSTITUTION: An image of an object(10) having a bar code is photographed using a two-dimensional CMOS photographing element(20). The photographed color image is transmitted to a PC(60) through a USB of a PC interface(50) and transmitted to a memory unit simultaneously. The bar code image is received from the memory and transmitted to an image processing unit, and a bar code image processing(40) is executed. After the image processing(40), a result value is transmitted to a PC(60) through a PC interface using a serial port or a USB interface.
