PURPOSE: A method for reducing a loading time of an optical disk is provided to reduce a long loading time by using control stored in a memory with pushing the immediate play button. CONSTITUTION: The size and kind of an optical disk are judged and stored in a memory in loading the optical disk. If a central processing unit receives a driving order message from a user, the central processing unit reads control data recorded in a specific area of the optical disk for storing the read control data in the memory. In the case that the user wants to play the optical disk again after stopping the playback of the disk, the user inputs an immediate playback message(S200). The central processing unit reads the control data stored in the memory(S210). The central processing unit plays the optical disk immediately by using the control data(S220).
