PURPOSE: A method for controlling a low-temperature operation of an electronic refrigerator is provided to turn off a compressor and operate a heating lamp by calculating the operation rate of the compressor with a microcomputer if the operation rate of the compressor is below a reference value and to turn on the compressor and release the operation of the heating lamp if the operation rate of the compressor is over the reference value. CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerator preventing a freezer and a cold room from being supercooled by applying heat load to the inside of the cold room after detecting the temperature of outer air, a method for controlling a low-temperature operation of the electronic refrigerator comprises the steps of deciding if the operation of a compressor(6) is over a constant operation rate, and working the compressor and stopping a heating lamp(2) if the operation rate of the compressor is over the constant operation rate and stopping the compressor and working the heating lamp if the operation rate of the compressor is below the constant operation rate.
