摘要 PURPOSE: A single carrier and multi-carrier MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system using a transmission diversity pre-combining method and an optimum trellis coding method are provided to enhance signal detection characteristics by giving a separate pre-combining weight value to each transmission antenna according to a channel state and thus compensating a fading influence. CONSTITUTION: An information source(21) is a randomly generated binary data sequence. A space time encoder(22) shapes a bit stream inputted from the information source(21) to an M-PSK and trellis-codes codewords assigned to a tree so as to be disposed by using only codes maximizing a minimum Euclid distance between codes. Weight multipliers(23) allocate the optimum trellis-coded signals to each channel and assigns different weight to each transmission antenna according to a channel state information. Transmission antennas(24) transmit coded signals with different weights. Reception antennas(25) receive signals which have been independently influenced by fading after being transmitted from the transmission antennas(24). A space time decoder(26) performs a space time decoding on the received signals according to an ML(Maximum Likelihood) scale using a pre-combining weight and channel state information. An information sync block(27) converts a symbol data stream into a required form.
