PURPOSE: A method for controlling a robot cleaner is provided to efficiently perform cleaning work by using various sensors. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a robot cleaner comprises the steps of: taking a cleaning order from a user(110); starting a running and a cleaning work(120,130); varying the direction of running according to the reaction of sensors(200,300,400); ascertaining whether the user gives the order to finish cleaning and inspecting a battery(140); inspecting the amount of collected dust(150); and stopping cleaning and running work(160,170).
