LOWER PLATE OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A lower plate of a plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve improved formability of barrier ribs, while reducing procedures and costs by eliminating the necessity of performing an upper surface grinding process. CONSTITUTION: A lower plate of a plasma display panel comprises a green sheet(60) bonded onto a substrate(62); an address electrode(64) printed on the green sheet; and a paste layer(66) formed on the green sheet and which protects the address electrode and has a low contraction percentage. A method for manufacturing a barrier rib includes the steps of bonding a green sheet onto a substrate; printing an address electrode on the green sheet; forming a paste layer on the green sheet where the address electrode is printed; and forming a barrier rib by pressing the mold having a groove with a shape corresponding to the shape of the barrier rib against the paste layer.
