MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TRANSFER FILM FOR IN-MOLD DECORATION AND TRANSFERRING METHOD OF THE TRANSFER FILM

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a transfer film for in-mold decoration is provided to transfer the film onto the whole surface of a product having prominence and depression such as tray at the same time by using mould of injection moulding machine, and a transferring method of the film is provided. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method is characterized in that the transfer film comprises (a) PET film layer(1) having thickness of 38 to 50 μm; (b) releasing material layer(2) comprising 18 wt.% of acrylic copolymer, 1 wt.% of synthetic wax, 40 wt.% of toluene, 36 wt.% of methyl ethyl ketone and 5 wt.% of additive; (c) top primer layer(3) comprising 20 wt.% of polyurethane resin, 10 wt.% of modified acrylic resin, 2 wt.% of silica powder and 68 wt.% of methyl ethyl ketone; (d) printing layer(4) comprising 25 wt.% of synthetic resin, 5 wt.% of synthetic wax, 30 wt.% of pigment, 15 wt.% of toluene, 20 wt.% of methyl ethyl ketone and 5 wt.% of ethyl acetate; and (e) adhesive layer(5). The transferring method of a transfer film for in-mold decoration comprises the processes of coating the releasing material layer(2) on the PET film layer(1) using roller; forming the top primer layer(3) by coating using the roller a coater prepared by slowly injecting 20 wt.% of polyurethane resin, 10 wt.% of modified acrylic resin and 2 wt.% of silica powder into 68 wt.% of methyl ethyl ketone, stirring the materials for about 3 minutes, temporarily stopping stirring of the materials and continuously stirring the mixture again to a rotation speed of about 1,780 revolutions per minute or more; coating the printing layer(4) on the top primer layer(3); obtaining the transfer film by coating the adhesive layer(5) on the printing layer(4); and performing injection and transferring at the same time by fixing the object using pin holes and rubber packing after putting the obtained transfer film into mould of injection moulding machine for injecting an object on which the transfer film is transferred having irregular part or bending part.
