PURPOSE: A communication method of an asynchronous serial communication system is provided to stably transmit a large amount of data by a slave unit having an authority of a flow control by using previous information contained in a packet transmitted between devices. CONSTITUTION: A master unit transmits a packet requesting transmission of a data to a slave unit, and master contained in the packet is set to 0 in order to inform that the slave unit has an authority of a flow control(b1). The slave unit transmits a packet(ACK) in response to the request to the master unit by setting a master contained in the packet to 1(b2). The slave unit processes the requested data and transmits a packet including the data to the master unit, and at this time, a master contained in the packet is set to 1(b3). The master unit transmits a packet(ACK) in response to the requested data to the slave unit, and at this time a mater contained in the packet is set to 0(b4).
