METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SVC SERVICE FOR MULTIPLE SUBSCRIBER CALL

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing an SVC(Switched Virtual Connection) service for a multiple subscriber call are provided to allow each terminal to receive a service by generating a logical port of a VPI(Virtual Path Identifier). CONSTITUTION: An ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switching system generates a VPI logical port by VPIs as a logical port of a physical link type connected to a VP cross connector(410). The ATM switching system sets a signaling channel for UNI(User-Network Interface) signaling at the generated VPI logical port(420). When a call setup request is received from a multiple subscriber terminal through the signaling channel, a multiple subscriber is identified and a connection identifier is provided by the switching system according to the subscriber terminal's request, thereby performing a service for a multiple subscriber call(430).
