PURPOSE: A check valve of a scroll compressor for an air conditioner is provided to reduce closedown time by reducing pressure loss caused by drag and to repress shutdown noise generated by a partial side wear. CONSTITUTION: A check valve of a scroll compressor for an air conditioner comprises a valve body(51) of which an edge is fixed to a fixed scroll(60) by a bolt, and the valve body having a fluid passage(51") passing fluid in the middle and a hole(5l') being smaller than the fluid passage at the upper center, and a spherical valve unit(52) inserted into the fluid passage of the valve body and the valve unit blocking up a discharge hole(60') of the fixing scroll with moving up and down inside the fluid passage according to the pressure of fluid. The valve unit is formed in a conical shape and an apex thereof faces the discharge hole of the fixing scroll.
