<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power without damaging operability by solving a problem that a battery available time is short when driving a battery in a portable information processor having an input part such as a keyboard. <P>SOLUTION: A first processing block 1 connected to an information input block 97 including a keyboard 201 is provided and connected to a second processing block 98 in which a display part 2 having a memory effect is connected. Corresponding to the input from the keyboard or the like, the first processing block 1 starts the stationary second processing block 98 and after display on a display part 2 is changed, the power supply or operation of both the blocks is stopped. At such a time, the display on the display part 2 is held by the memory effect.
