The brush cutter has a number of blades with downward-angled square ends (3) and cutting edges (4), fitted between a pair of steel discs (5) by pivots (15) through holes (1) in their other, rounded ends (2). The discs are held apart by an annular rib (10) that is 0.2 mm thicker than the blades, and the lower disc has cut-outs (18) for the blades, allowing them to fold and be covered by the discs in the event of them striking a hard object that cannot be cut. The angled ends of the blades create a mulching effect on the vegetation as they cut through it. |
