<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus improved so as to reduce or eliminate an irregular rotation in a processing unit. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 7 and a developing device 8 are integrally constituted as an image forming processing unit 6, and can be attached to/ detached from the main body of the image forming apparatus 1. In the case of attaching the unit 6 to the main body of the apparatus 1, input shafts 71 and 81 provided in the unit 6 abut on output shafts 72 and 82 installed on the main body side of the apparatus 1 in a state where their shaft end faces 71a, 81a and 72a, 82a are fit. The shafts 72 and 82 installed on the main body side of the apparatus 1 are equipped with a sheet material 50 on the shaft end face 72a.
