<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time announcing timepiece capable of distinguishing a displayed time even in the state of dark peripheries and reducing the luminance of a display part. <P>SOLUTION: The time announcing timepiece is provided with a clock part 12 for measuring time, a CdS sensor 113 for detecting the state of brightness and darkness, a storage memory 17 for storing background images and images for an alarm, a time image creating part 182 for creating time images containing information on the time measured by the clock part 12, a background image creating part 181 for creating background images, a composing part 183 for composing the background images and the time images, a display part 13 for displaying composite images composed by the composing part 183, a sound stop switch 111, and a luminance adjusting part 184 for lowering the luminance of the background images and the luminance of the time images when a dark state is detected by the CdS sensor 113 and rising the luminance of the time images and the background images to be displayed on the display part 13 when the time measured by the clock part 12 reaches a previously set time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
