PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a cycle time, by making it possible to suck electronic components at their centers, and by increasing the chance wherein the components are concurrently sucked. SOLUTION: According to mounting data, suction nozzles 27, 27 corresponding to kinds of electronic components so suck the components to be mounted as to derive them from a component feeding unit. In this case, when sucking respectively by the two suction nozzles 27, 27 the components classified into No.1 and No.2, if a distanceΔX between the centers of both the components which is measured in an X direction is longer than 130 mm and a distanceΔY between the centers of both the components which is measured in a Y direction is not longer than 0.900 mm of the decision reference of the component classified into No.1 of a small component, then both the components can be sucked concurrently. WhenΔY is 0.9 mm, a linear motor 9 is so controlled and the movement of a beam 6 is so corrected along guides 8 as to shift the sucking position of the small component which is measured in the Y direction to the inside direction of the small component by 0.9 mm/3=0.3 mm.
