<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TFT liquid crystal display panel which incurs no lowering of panel transmittance, has few out-of-register colors and little coloring and is highly visible. <P>SOLUTION: The TFT liquid crystal display panel is provided with a TFT substrate 1, a counter electrode substrate 2, a TN (twisted nematic) liquid crystal layer 4 disposed between both the substrates, polarizing plates 7a, 7b respectively disposed on the outside surface sides of both the substrates 1, 2 in a crossed Nicols state and uniaxial liquid crystal optical compensation films 6a, 6b disposed between both the substrates 1, 2 and the polarizing plates 7a, 7b. An angle between rubbing axis directions 31a, 31b is smaller than an angle between absorption axis directions 33a, 33b of the polarizing plates 7a, 7b. Furthermore, an angle between the rubbing axis direction 31a of the TFT substrate 1 side and the absorption axis direction 33a and an angle between the rubbing axis direction 31b of the counter electrode substrate 2 side and the absorption axis direction 33b are equal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
