<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector provided with a waveguide type optical filter having high light intercepting rate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connector is provided with the optical filter 12 of a grating 126 of at least a prescribed reflection wavelength, and a plug attached to the edge of the optical filter 12. Particularly, the grating 126 is the edge part of the optical fiber 12 and provided on a part stored in the plug.
