<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a sostenuto pedal in the state of occasionally treading down the same at need even if the foot is parted from the trodden down sostenuto pedal. <P>SOLUTION: The pedal device of a piano has a damper pedal 1, a shift pedal 3 and the sostenuto pedal 2 functioned as an operating member to hold the damper corresponding to the keyboard under key touch to the state of parting the damper from a string on a substrate 22, in which a supporting frame 16 supporting the sostenuto pedal 2 having an intermediate part as its fulcrum rotationally movably in a vertical direction is attached to the substrate 22 rotationally movably in a transverse direction and is constructed to place the sostenuto pedal 2 on a holding section 24 and to hold the sostenuto pedal in the trodden down state even if a treading down operation is released in the rotationally moving position where the supporting frame rotationally moves in the horizontal direction in the trodden down state of the sostenuto pedal 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
