摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner which can mass-produce toner particles synthesized in an aqueous medium without deterioration of quality and with good efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method which has a process for cleaning and dehydrating the toner synthesized in the aqueous medium, dispersing the volatile components of the resulted moist toner particles while continuously supplying the toner particles into a hot air current as primary drying and substantially removing moisture therefrom while feeding the toner particles to the parallel flow with the hot air current and a process for removing the other moisture components by reduced pressure heat treatment accompanied by agitating as secondary drying, is characterized in that there are a plurality of units of the apparatus to perform the secondary drying with respect to the apparatus for performing the first drying in this method. The toner particles from which moisture is continuously removed by primary drying are supplied to a first vessel where pressure reducing and heating are possible and at the point of the time when a prescribed amount of the toner particles are accumulated in the vessel, a reduced pressure state is formed in the vessel and the reduced pressure heat treatment is started and thereafter the supply from the first drying to the second drying is switched to a second vessel where pressure reducing and heating are possible, and at the point of the time when a prescribed amount of the toner particles are likewise accumulated, the reduced pressure state is formed and the reduced pressure heat treatment is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
