PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote reception service of image data by providing a camera function and an image data arrival reply transmission function to an electronic device so as to eliminate the need for imposing a load of an installed place and an installation cost onto a communication terminal user. SOLUTION: In the image transmission system 1 provided with a mobile phone 2 to which a telephone number is assigned and an image transmission apparatus 3, when the mobile phone 2 dials a telephone number of the image transmission apparatus 3, the image transmission apparatus 3 executes photographing a photographing object range in front of an imaging lens 302 in response to the incoming call and transmits image data of the photographed image to the mobile phone 2 via base stations 4a, 4b and an exchange 5.
