PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector easily mating the base to a cover, and having a better locking effect and a better mechanical performance. SOLUTION: This connector includes the base and the cover combined with the base by attaching and detaching, the base is constituted in a flat plate shape, and an insertion part to be inserted into a header part and the cover is installed, and in the insertion part, protrusions and protruded plates are installed at both side faces in the insertion direction. The cover includes a flat plate and guide parts extended in the same direction perpendicular against the flat plate on both sides in parallel with the direction combined with the flat plate and the cover, and at opposing both side faces of the guide parts, locking grooves and guide grooves matching the protrusions and the protruded plates of the base are respectively installed. By the combination of the protrusions and the locking grooves, and by the combination of the protruded plates and the guide grooves, the convenient connection of the both is attained.
