PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and a cost, which are required for installation work of an anchor, and to improve working efficiency of the installation work. SOLUTION: The anchor for protecting the blast furnace steel shell, which is inserted into the above blast furnace in order to prevent falling of a structured wall body for protecting the steel shell, comprises an axial member 20 having several openings 21 and 22 formed on the peripheral part at a predetermined circumferential interval, an anchor member 30 provided with several bar members 31 and 32 which are interpolated into the axial members 20 so as to correspond to phases of the openings 21 and 22 in a circumferential direction of the axial member 20, and a guide member 40 which is arranged inside the axial member 20 in proximity to the openings 21 and 22, abuts tips of the bar members 31 and 32, guides the tips of the bar members 31 and 32 toward the openings 21 and 22 while deforming them, and projects them to the outsides of the axial member 20, when a predetermined force is applied onto the anchor member 30 to increase the abutting force to the tips of the bar members 31 and 32.
