PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit data at a high speed while removing noise as to a data transmission system such as a CATV system and a data transmission control method. SOLUTION: When a trunk system such as the CATV system and an access system are included, at least a distribution and branching part (trunk line distributing and branching amplifier 5) of the trunk system copies narrow-band signals to be as many as codes of an orthogonal series, rotates the phases of them according to the codes of the orthogonal series and multiplexes and transmits them by performing frequency conversion of a transmittable band to divided bands as many as the codes of the orthogonal series; and a reception part of a head end 1, etc., puts signals of the divided bands back to the frequency of the original narrow band signals, carries out reverse phase rotation according to the codes of the orthogonal series, and integrates and adds them together. A transmission part of a modem 8, etc., of the access system performs zero point insertion between signal points and a reception part of a distribution and branching part of the access system performs noise removal at signal points by zero-point extraction.
