<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windmill equipped with a mechanism with a variable blade pitch which surely changes a blade pitch even on an occurrence of a power failure. <P>SOLUTION: There are equipped with a rower erected at a predetermined setting position, a nacelle set to the tower, a rotor head rotatably fitted to the nacelle, a plurality of blades 110 variably set in blade pitch with respect to the rotor head, a servo motor 120 for setting the blade pitch of the blades 110 by receiving electric power supply out of the rotor head, and a spring 210 for changing the blade pitch of the blades 110 in the direction for reducing the wind pressure applied to the blades 110. The spring 210 imparts a driving force in the direction for reducing the wind pressure applied to the blades 110 on the occurrence of the power failure, and feathering is made by transmitting the driving force to the blades 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
