PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner and an image forming device of high reliability wherein color slippage on an image caused by the dispersion of warpage in an image forming means is suppressed, and to provide the manufac turing method. SOLUTION: The height of a scanning line with reference to a reference scanning line position is detected by sensors 10L, 10LC, 10C, 10RC and 10R arranged on a surface to be scanned 7 on which an image is formed by a scanning lens 6b, and the shape of the scanning line is discriminated, then, the position of the scanning lens 6b with reference to the luminous flux L deflected/ scanned by a rotary polygon mirror 5 is adjusted, and then, the shape of the scanning line is adjusted.
