PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply detect a peak part of a correlation value. SOLUTION: A straight line connecting an upstream side ultrasonic effective transmission point P of an upstream side ultrasonic transmitter 16 to an upstream side ultrasonic effective reception point Q of an upstream side ultrasonic receiver 18 is not parallel to a second straight line connecting a downstream side ultrasonic effective transmission point R of a downstream side ultrasonic transmitter 17 to a downstream side ultrasonic effective reception point of a downstream side ultrasonic receiver 19. Since this flowmeter detects a delicate Doppler shift quantity caused by a laminar flow in a tube, a Doppler shift newly generated by a reflected wave and other noises can be reduced effectively.
