PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring control node capable of increasing the upper limit of then number of nodes which can be installed on one ring especially by BLSR control and enlarging the capacity of a line and the scale of a ring system. SOLUTION: The ring control node is constituted of a plurality of nodes performing ring control and a span connecting the plurality of the nodes in a ring shape. Each of the plurality of nodes detects a fault generated in the span between the other adjacent node and transmits the fault information to the other node with a span ID allocated to the span as a destination.
