PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost piezoelectric oscillator and a piezoelectric oscillator device which are resonant at high frequencies, using the fundamental wave, and easy to adjust the resonance frequency. SOLUTION: The device comprises a piezoelectric board 30, having a wedged part 30b gradually thinning with respect to its thickness toward the top end, and drive electrodes 31, 32 formed on facing main surfaces of the wedged part 30b. The board 30 is formed through mechanical polishing. A resonance frequency at a fundamental wave of 100 MHz or higher. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
