PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of efficiently performing the search of information by specifying the searching keyword correctly even when different expressions are included in requesting the information. SOLUTION: Candidate words likely to be given by users (no ink fed, lines thin, etc.), are held in an information provision supporting server 2 in linkage with any associate searching keywords (clogging etc.). When any inquiry is placed from an operator terminal 4 manipulated by the operator talking to the user or a user terminal 6, the information provision supporting server 2 decides the searching keyword to suit the inquiry item through the candidate word, and this is transmitted to an information providing server 1.
