PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electric power to be consumed by imaging means and display means of a binocular apparatus. SOLUTION: The binocular apparatus has a pair of viewing optical systems 3R and 3L having objective optical systems 3Ra and 3La and eyepieces optical systems 3Rc and 3Lc, and imaging means 14 for imaging illuminating light and makes the images displayed in display means 32 simultaneously viewable with the right and left viewing optical systems 3R and 3L by utilizing spectral means 34, light guide means 35R and 35L and the imaging optical system 36. The imaging means 14 and the display means 32 can be respectively made into one and the electric power consumption can be suppressed to a lower level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
