PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner container which does not block formation of a flame by a burner nozzle and can stably restrain intrusion of radiation heat from a furnace and blow-out of excessive air from a dummy port. SOLUTION: At the dummy port 60 provided at this burner container, a stainless steel plate 70 is arranged almost covering the dummy port 60 inside the dummy port 60 opposing the furnace, and at a portion corresponding to the end on the mounting position side of the stainless steel plate 70 (in concrete, inside of side plates 61 and 62, a top plate 64 and a bottom plate 65), a plurality of stoppers 66 (consisting of claws 66a and 66b) are arranged for supporting the stainless steel plate 70. On the back side of an opposing part of the stainless steel plate 70 against the furnace, a drop preventing mechanism 80 for preventing drop of the stainless steel plate 70 into the furnace is provided.
