The procedure consists of inserting the fabric into a container (2) of a microperforated material, such as a mesh or gauze bag or a rigid or semi-rigid cylinder, and injecting it with colored dye solutions. The solutions are injected through the container's micro- perforations with the aid of syringes (6) applied at regular intervals or not, e.g. in parallel lines or patterns, and after the injections the fabric is withdrawn, rinsed, dried and dressed. The fabric can be dry or damp when the dyes are applied, and the dyes can be raised to a predetermined temperature with a neutral pH or not.
