PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discard used sample plates smoothly in a sample plate disposal device for sample plates having filter paper stuck with samples. SOLUTION: A pair of protrusions 38A, 38B is formed at the discharge end 36 of a sloped board 34, between which a plate dropping space 40 is formed. Since a plate dropping edge 42 is kept separated from a waste container 37, a sample plate 18 sliding down on the sloped board 34 drops into the waste container 37 without fail.
