PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel vapor processing apparatus for a vehicle suppressing entry of water into an atmospheric air passageway through an atmospheric air intake port of a fuel inlet box when an inside of the fuel inlet box is to be cleaned by opening a fuel lid with an internal combustion engine kept running. SOLUTION: The fuel vapor processing apparatus uses a negative pressure generated in an intake passageway 5 while the engine 1 is running to introduce air through the atmospheric air intake port 10a provided in the fuel inlet box of the vehicle. The air is introduced into a canister 8 by way of the atmospheric air passageway 10 by the negative pressure. The air is then sent with fuel vapor in the canister 8 to the intake passageway 5 through a purge passageway 12. When the fuel lid 6a is open to expose the fuel inlet box 6 to the atmosphere, a purge control valve 14 provided midway the purge passageway 12 is closed, thus inhibiting introduction of air through the atmospheric air intake port 10a.
